Chapter 2 talks about developing a connected learning model and teacher networks. Teacher networks include curriculum documents, colleagues, popular media, print/digital resources, and family and local communities. Teachers play a huge role in all of these things all around the world. A teacher keeps in touch with their colleagues to seek different teaching styles and to broaden their teaching perspectives. The chapter discusses diversity and how connected learning communities are the perfect greenhouses. Teachers can be exposed to different cultures in their classrooms so that brings a different type of community into their life. When I become a teacher, I know I will always be involved in different types of communities within my classroom and my students. As a teacher, I will want to broaden my knowledge by getting more involved in those communities and bringing that knowledge into my classroom.
